Edmonton Cycle Club is a leisure cycling club. We're
based in Enfield in North London, England.
While
other clubs may concentrate on covering huge distances
on-road, or negotiating mountainous terrain on MTB's,
we are more into the sociable side of cycling.
A
ride with us tends to be mainly on towpaths, quiet country
lanes and backstreets. Sometimes we head out into
the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside, while other
rides may take us in towards London to discover a secret
oasis of calm within the city.
Our regular rides are split into two grades: Easier
rides under 20 miles (suitable for families and less experienced
riders) and longer, more challenging rides for the more
experienced.
And
sometimes we go for weekends
away, in the UK or abroad.
There's
normally one or two rides every month (more in the summer,
less in the winter) mostly on Sundays. Most rides
start at 10am, we generally stop for lunch at a pub or
cafe and arrive back home between 4pm and 6pm. Check
the diary
on this website for details.
We
also hold informal meetings
in a pub every month. Currently, we are alternating
between venues in Edmonton, Winchmore Hill and Enfield.
If all this sounds like your kind of thing then
why not join us. Membership
is free!
